Dubai- UAE: The Middle East Film & Comic Con (MEFCC) will be returning to Abu Dhabi this April 2026 and therewith, the city will turn into the pop culture district, with the lovers of film, television, comics, gaming and cosplay attending the three-day festival. The organisers affirmed that the event is to be conducted in Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) between April 24 and 26, 2026.

One Of The Significant Pop Culture Events In The UAE

Middle East Film & Comic Con is the biggest Middle East-based pop culture convention with tens of thousands of visitors each year, and it is its 14th edition. Since its introduction in 2012, the event has become one of the major events in the region in terms of entertainment.

The convention glorifies a very broad diversity of creative industries such as comics, film, television, anime, manga and gaming, as well as providing a space to local artists and creators.

Dates And Venue Confirmed

The Middle East Film & Comic Con 2026 will be held over three days, between Friday, April 24-Sunday, April 26, in ADNEC in Abu Dhabi. The venue has been used over the past years and it is capable of supporting a huge population, exhibition areas and live panel activities.

Tickets Now On Sale

Middle East Film and Comic Con tickets are now on sale and include such options as one day, two days, and three days of attendance. VIP and Super VIP packages have also been launched by organisers and they include priority entry, exclusive merchandise and access to selected meet and greet. Normal ticket prices will be around AED 160 and premium packages will be more based on the added benefits.

First Celebrity Guest Announced

Christopher Judge, who is most famous as the voice of Kratos in the God of War video game franchise, and also due to his contributions to science-fiction television, is the first celebrity guest confirmed to Middle East Film & Comic Con 2026. This will be followed by other guest announcements in the next few weeks and past editions have seen stars of major Hollywood movies, famous television shows and internationally known gaming companies.

Cosplay And Fan Contests

Cosplay is one of the expected aspects of the Middle East Film & Comic Con. There will be room to participate in formal cosplay contests where the hoped-for winners will have the possibility of representing the UAE in other cosplay competitions held in other regions. Artist alleys, gaming areas, panel discussions, workshops and special merchandise stalls will also be found at the convention and the list of experiences that a customer can find is very extensive.

When it returns to Abu Dhabi in April, Middle East Film & Comic Con 2026 will be another event with high standards of pop culture. The local fans are also looking forward to it with more and more guests and programming information being announced. Besides the celebrity appearances, Middle East Film and Comic Con has managed to establish itself as a venue where fans, creators and industry people can meet. The event also offers avenues of the exposure of upcoming artists and filmmakers to exhibit their works and community engagement with fandoms.
