The Great Dubai Summer Sale is not a single event. It runs as a phased retail calendar across the full 60 days. Throughout July and August, flash deals and exclusive brand promotions can be seen. At participating retailers, discounts go up to 90 per cent on fashion, electronics, lifestyle products and home goods.
Furthermore, flash sales are announced in advance for a relatively short period of time, often just 24 hours ahead, via DSS Daily Surprises. Consequently, checking the Dubai Calendar app or the DFRE social channels regularly is the only way to catch those one-day-only offers before they close.
The participating venues for the Dubai summer sale cover the full breadth of the city. The list of malls includes City Walk, Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Mirdif, Deira City Centre, Dubai Festival City Mall, Dubai Festival Plaza, Ibn Battuta Mall, Nakheel Mall, The Outlet Village and Bluewaters, Gulf News confirmed. If you have only been to one or two of these, several are still running offers you have not seen yet.
Back to School In August
The Back to School campaign began on 3 August. It will continue until 30 August, the end of Dubai summer sale season. This phase is dedicated to school supplies, fashion, electronics and student technology, catering to families preparing for the new school year.
According to Hospitality News, August also features a range of Back to School celebrations with live performances, themed installations, and family entertainment across participating malls. Furthermore, the Back-to-School Carnival already ran on August 7 and 8 with themed activities for families.
If you missed that, the retail deals within the campaign continue right through to the end of the month. For families with school-age children, the next five weeks of the Dubai summer sale are arguably the most practically useful of the entire festival.
The Raffles Are Still Open
This is the part most people overlook. The Dubai summer sale is not just about discounts. It is one of the most generous prize campaigns Dubai runs all year. Several of the biggest draws have not closed yet.
The Win Your Home in Dubai promotion is the headline prize. According to Focus Hi Dubai, winners are announced every Sunday, and the closing weekend on August 30 awards three studio apartments along with the grand prize: a two-bedroom apartment. Entry requires spending AED 500 at participating stores and registering the receipt. Every qualifying purchase between now and August 30 is a valid entry.
In addition, the shoppers are given the opportunity to win a Dongfeng 007 of 2026 or share the cash prizes of AED 500,000 with the DSS Mega Raffles with ENOC. The DSS Digital Raffle with Exeed is going on until August 29th and each draw will feature a brand new Exeed car.
In addition, the Skywards Miles promotion is in effect until Aug. 30, which is a special five-million-miles-for-purchases-more-than-AED-200 promotion for those who shop at any of Skywards’ various partners. Summer Activities Still on the Calendar
The Dubai summer sale was never only about shopping. Events are still running for the entertainment side of DSS 2026, and several are concentrated in August.
The Miami Musical Show takes place at Coca-Cola Arena on August 28, marking its first performance outside Kuwait. Summer activities in Dubai also include Modesh World at DWTC, which continues through the full festival, offering indoor rides, interactive games, live shows, and family activities until August 30.
Furthermore, the Summer Mallathon continues daily at participating malls with free indoor walking and running routes, a summer activity in Dubai that costs nothing and gives you a reason to visit the mall beyond the sales.
For families, summer activities in Dubai under DSS 2026 also include meet-and-greet appearances by Modesh and Dana at malls and attractions through the remaining weeks. These are free. Children who have been asking about Modesh all summer still have time.
Before August 30
Check the Dubai Calendar app now for this weekend’s flash sale dates and participating stores. Register your receipts for the Win Your Home draw if you have been shopping but have not entered. Book a Back to School shopping trip and stack the category deals with any applicable raffle entries. And if you have been waiting for a reason to try a new restaurant or hotel package, DSS dining and staycation offers run through the final weekend as well.
The Dubai summer sale does not extend. It does not add extra days. August 30 is the last day, and the last weekend carries the biggest prizes of the entire 60-day run. Five weeks left is enough time. Just do not wait for another three of them.
