Opening October 14th, running until May 2027, and coming with VIP packs that hide a Dh31,000 cheque inside one of them. Yes, really.
Every year, without fail, something interesting happens in Dubai around this time. The weather starts its slow crawl toward bearable. People begin talking about what they are going to do with their evenings again. And then, almost on cue, Global Village announces its opening date and the entire city collectively remembers that winter in Dubai is genuinely wonderful.
Season 31 opens on October 14th, 2026. It runs until May 2027 under the theme A More Wonderful World. And if the previous thirty seasons are anything to go by, it is going to be exactly that.
Three Decades of Somehow Getting Better Every Time
Global Village has been part of Dubai’s cultural fabric since 1997. That is nearly three decades of pavilions, food stalls, carnival games, questionable impulse purchases and memories that somehow outlast all of them.
Season 30 was its milestone year, thirty pavilions representing over ninety cultures, more than 3,500 shopping outlets, over 250 dining experiences, 40,500 performances from 450 international artists and more than 200 rides and games at Carnaval. It also faced something no previous season had a 51-day closure due to regional tensions before reopening on April 20th, 2026, and running three weeks beyond its original closing date to make up for lost time.
Season 31 arrives with that history behind it and something new ahead. Specific additions are still being unveiled, but Global Village has confirmed that this season will introduce a range of new attractions, experiences and reasons to visit and return throughout its seven-month run.

The VIP Packs Are Back and One of Them Has Dh31,000 Inside It
Let us talk about the thing everyone is actually excited about.
Global Village’s Season 31 VIP Packs have launched, and this year they come with a twist that sounds almost too good to be true. One lucky pack holder will open theirs to find a cheque for Dh31,000 tucked inside. Not a voucher. Not points. An actual cheque.
The packs themselves are designed around a collectible Global Village Story Book theme, inspired by the destination’s journey across thirty seasons. Each pack includes seven Season 31 collector pins honouring the UAE, alongside a VIP Parking Sticker, Parking Cards, Entry Tickets, Wonder Pass Cards and benefits across Dubai Holding Entertainment assets.
Pre-orders run from September 21st to 25th, with general sales opening September 26th exclusively through the Coca-Cola Arena website. You need to be eighteen or older with a valid Emirates ID, and purchases are limited to one pack per person so no, you cannot buy twelve and dramatically improve your Dh31,000 odds.
Here is the full pricing breakdown:
The Diamond VIP Pack is Dh7,900 with a Dh1,000 priority booking fee during pre-order. The Platinum is Dh3,490 with a Dh500 fee. The Gold is Dh2,490 with a Dh300 fee. The Silver is Dh1,890 with a Dh200 fee.
For those who want to combine Global Village with Dubai Parks and Resorts, the Mega Gold and Mega Silver packs return this season. The Mega Gold at Dh4,990 includes either eight three-month Multi-Park Seasonal Passes or twelve one-day two-park tickets. The Mega Silver at Dh3,490 includes five seasonal passes or seven park tickets. Both carry a Dh150 priority booking fee during pre-order. Given how quickly these sell out every season, setting up your account before pre-orders open on September 21st is genuinely worth doing rather than leaving it to the last minute.

But What If You Just Want to Enjoy Global Village Without Spending Like You Have a Problem?
Here is the thing about Global Village — it has a very particular talent for making you spend more than you planned while somehow still feeling like you got value for money. The trick is going in with a loose strategy rather than no strategy at all.
The entry ticket itself is the easy part. The spending decisions that happen after walking through the gates are where things get interesting. Food is the most reliable budget leak. You walk past something that smells incredible, you buy it, then you spot something else, then there is dessert, then someone insists you absolutely have to try the thing from that other stall. Before long you have eaten dinner approximately three times.
The pavilion shopping operates on similar logic. You walk in looking for one specific thing and leave holding something entirely unrelated that you also somehow needed. Fluffy cartoon socks. A tea set from the China pavilion. A piece of jewellery you cannot quite explain but absolutely do not regret.
Some practical guidance for keeping things manageable. Share larger dishes rather than ordering individually the portions at Global Village are rarely designed for one person anyway. Browse before you commit to buying, especially across the pavilions, because similar items often appear at noticeably different prices a few stalls apart. Decide your rides budget before you arrive rather than figuring it out in the moment while standing next to a spinning thing that is considerably more tempting than it looked on the map. And set a souvenir budget. A firm one. Otherwise the phrase just one little thing becomes a full bag and a slightly sheepish walk back to the car park.
The good news is that an enjoyable evening at Global Village does not require spending at every opportunity. Some of the best parts cost nothing wandering through pavilions you have never properly explored, watching performances, finding a quiet spot by the lake and simply taking in how much is happening around you all at once.
October 14th. Put It in Your Calendar.
Global Village Season 31 opens in less than a month. Seven months of pavilions, food, music, rides, shopping, performances and the kind of evenings that somehow always turn into stories worth telling. Whether you are going in as a VIP pack holder hoping that Dh31,000 cheque has your name on it, or simply showing up on a Tuesday evening with a loose budget and no plan, the destination tends to deliver regardless.
Dubai winters are short. Global Village is one of the better ways to make the most of them.
