Falling missile debris hits important facilities at Habshan and Bab field, resulting shutdowns meanwhile authorities assure no injuries and strengthen safety measures
Incidents Reported at Key Energy Facilities
Early Thursday, two separate missile debris incidents were reported at Abu Dhabi’s Habshan gas facilities also including Bab oil field. According to the emirate’s media office, the situations arose after air defence systems successfully neutralized incoming missiles, causing their debris to fall over working areas.

Emergency Team Quick Response
Following the missile debris incidents, authorities quickly rushed to secure the affected area. All the work paused as a precaution. The facilities of gas were temporarily shut down in order to make sure safety and avoid any further risks. Authorities reported zero injuries during both the incident.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the attack related with the missile debris incidents in an official statement. The ministry emphasized the act as a significant escalation and a violation of international law, due to its targeting of important energy infrastructure.

Threat to Regional and Global Energy Security
The ministry further reflected that such missile debris incidents pose a direct threat to regional stability as well as to global energy security. It also stated that the UAE reserves the right to take necessary actions in order to protect its sovereignty, critical assets and national interests.
