July 25, 2025 | Dubai, UAE: After a web video of Kristin Cabot and the past Astronomer CEO Andy Byron, She has quit the data and AI firm just days, went big. Kristin Cabot, who led as the Chief People Officer at Astronomer and her exit is the second big one for the Cincinnati-based new firm in under a week.
The key event leading to these quits took place at a Coldplay show. A video there caught two people, soon known to be Kristin Cabot and Astronomer CEO Andy Byron, close and moving to the tunes under the venue’s “Kiss Cam.” When they saw the camera, both hid fast. This led Coldplay’s lead singer, Chris Martin, to say: “Either they’re in a secret love or just really shy.” This clip spread fast online, getting lots of views and starting heaps of talks and jokes on social media.

While the BBC has yet to confirm the two in the shot, many U.S. news places say it was Kristin Cabot and then-Astronomer CEO Andy Byron. The firm first put Andy on a break while they looked into it. He left soon after, and now, Kristin Cabot has left too.
Astronomer has let go both through a company talk, noting that co-founder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy is now the acting CEO.
Big Leader Astronomer CEO Andy Byron Changes After Going Viral
These exits put Astronomer, a firm once quiet in the data and AI field, under a big media watch. Born in Cincinnati, the startup is known for making modern data paths and has been praised for new ways to look at data setups.
Pete DeJoy, now the acting Astronomer CEO, told workers and people who care about us: “The past few days have brought more media attention than most firms – especially startups – ever see. We are working on getting back to normal and keeping our promises to our clients and team.”

The viral clip made Kristin Cabot and Astronomer CEO Andy Byron stand out in a bad way, turning a private bit into a big joke. Net users named the two fast, and even though neither has said a thing, things went south fast. Made-up news and social posts started to pop up, making Astronomers firm up how they speak inside and how they manage tough spots.
Both Kristin Cabot and Astronomer CEO Andy Byron were key in leading Astronomers. As CEO, Andy Byron was big in making plans and growing the firm’s touch. Kristin Cabot, on her part, ran staff and growth plans at a key time for the firm’s growth.
Keeping On Through Rough Times
Even with the shake-up up top, Astronomer’s board said they stand by keeping work going. They said: “Pete DeJoy has all our trust as the acting CEO. We are all about keeping our work stable and helping our workers during this shift.”
The exit of both leaders shows the hard bits modern firms face today, where web fame can end jobs fast. With both Kristin Cabot and Andy Byron gone, Astronomer starts a new part.

As of now, the firm hasn’t said if they will take more steps because of the Coldplay show video. For now, Astronomer is all about keeping the team strong and pushing on with their big plans for their products.
As Astronomer deals with this new fame, the group sticks to its key aim. The board fully backs up fill-in boss Pete DeJoy’s skill to guide in this shift time. More news about who will lead for good is to come soon as the group gets its act together and pushes on.
