August 7, 2025 | Dubai, UAE: Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday to Make for the Dubai long Holiday in September 2025. UAE Public Holiday is likely to offer residents a Three-Day Weekend or a break in the week.

With Eid al-Adha and the Islamic New Year now set for June, UAE folks can look to another key day in the Islamic year: Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday (PBUH). Taken as a big event across the land, this day is an official UAE Public Holiday and may make Dubai long holiday for many of them.

Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday is marked on the 12th day of Rabi’ Al-Awwal, the third month of the Islamic Hijri year. Based on star studies, Rabi’ Al-Awwal should start on Monday, August 25. If so, Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday would be on Friday, September 5 – giving UAE folks a three-day Dubai long holiday along with the weekend.

Or, if the new Islamic month starts on Sunday, August 24, the birthday will be on Thursday, September 4. This would make for a weekday UAE Public Holiday. The true date will be told by UAE heads closer to that time, after the moon is seen.

Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday Is Deeply Felt in the UAE

Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday is a big day across the Islamic lands and is deeply felt throughout the Emirates. Each year, the UAE marks this time with a wide UAE Public Holiday. Places like government spots, schools, and private work spots close, letting people think and enjoy the day with those they love.

This year, with the set date, the UAE Public Holiday could give a nice Dubai long holiday as a big weekend or as a good break midweek. Many folks take this chance to see places in the country, go on short trips, or join in religious and local events.

Local travel folks, places to stay, and fun spots also tend to put out deals around the UAE Public Holiday to push folks to enjoy the break well. Whether for rest, worship, or good time with family, the coming Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday is set to be a calm spot in the year.

Next Dubai Long Holiday: Eid Al Etihad in December

After Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday, the next big UAE Public Holiday will be Eid Al Etihad – once called National Day. This two-day UAE Eid holiday will happen on Tuesday, December 2, and Wednesday, December 3, 2025. The event marks the joining of the Emirates and is a key yearly event.
