August 9, 2025 | Dubai, UAE: Dubai’s rulers and top travel chiefs have made big moves in Dubai new parking rules to change the city’s car space spots in 2025. Their goal with the Dubai New Parking Rules is to cut down on full roads, help the earth, and make trips simpler.

They’ve brought in new ways to pay, set up smart parking areas, and raised what drivers must pay. Everyone driving in the area is now seeing big changes in how and where they can park. These 10 updates show a big turn in how parking works and the Dubai new parking rules.

1. Smart Parking Tied to Salik Now in 36,000 Spots

Drivers can now sort parking fees through their Salik funds at 36,000 spots around the city. Thanks to a deal between Parkonic and Salik, new AI-run tech cuts out the need for paper slips or coins. This step aids Dubai’s push to net zero waste and is key to Dubai new parking rules aiming to freshen up parking.

2. Parkin Grows to 29,600 New Paid Spots

Parkin is now in charge of about 30,000 new spots to pay for in areas held by Dubai Holding. This growth is part of the grand plan to manage cars better and make areas nicer for guests as they grow in Dubai new parking rules.

3. Paid Parking Now at 59 Mosques

Parkin and the Islamic Affairs team manage 2,100 spots at 59 mosques. Under the Dubai new parking rules, you must pay every day, but you can park for free for an hour during prayer times. They call these areas Zone M and MP, and prices range from AED 2 to AED 6.

4. New Areas Set Up in Mirdif and Al Khail Gate

This year, Parkin put new zones in place. Al Khail Gate has parking for AED 30 a day or AED 4 every hour. Mirdif zones charge AED 2 or AED 4 per hour, depending on the time. These align with new rules supporting zone-based fees for better flow.

5. More Spots Go Ticketless in Dubai New Parking Rules

Salik and Parkonic spread their smart parking to 18 more spots, places like The Beach at JBR and several in Dubai Marina. Fees pull right from the Salik eWallet, which fits the digital-first goal of the rules.

6. Shopping Malls Remove Stoppers, Keep Charges

Big malls, like Mall of the Emirates, now use a system that spots car plates to work out fees and lets cars move quicker. Even though the cost stays the same, it matches the push for smarter, barrier-free setups.

7. Parkin Takes Over Public Park Spots

Parkin and Dubai’s bosses now let Parkin run the car spots in public parks. They didn’t tell us which parks, but the big spots are part of it, aiming to make access better and more smooth.

8. City-wide Rate Changes in Dubai New Parking Rules

On April 5, 2025, new rates kicked in. The top areas now cost up to AED 6 an hour at busy times, while slower times cost the same. Sundays and holidays don’t have high prices. These changes are part of the ongoing tweaks to manage demand.

9. Fees Go Up Near Events and Areas

Areas near sites like Dubai World Trade Centre now charge AED 25 an hour during big events. Other spots – Al Karama, Al Qusais, and Dubai Media City – have seen rises too. It reflects changes based on how many people want to park there.

10. Price Cuts for Students and Teachers

In a fair move, Dubai now has cheaper parking for students and staff at schools. Fees start at AED 100 a month near schools and come with more perks. This is part of the new rules promoting fairness and easier costs.

With no-ticket payments, smart zones, changing prices, and school fee cuts, Dubai new parking rules make a big change in how people move around the city. Drivers need to keep up, renew their Salik funds, and watch for new signs as the rules are now in full swing in the fresh zones.
