Air Defence Systems Answer to Threats

In the early hours of Thursday, the UAE confirmed its forces were responding to threats including missiles and drones.

“The air defense of the UAE is engaging with missiles and UAV threats,” said the Ministry of Defense.

While no particular origin of the threats was mentioned, this missile interception near KEZAD shows that vigilance remains in the face of heightened regional tensions.

Rising Regional Tensions Since February

From the starting of the conflict in the Middle East at the end of February, the UAE, along with other Gulf countries, has experienced repeated missile and drone attacks, believed by many to be linked to Iran. This is seen as part of a larger retaliation somehow connected to ongoing military operations in the United States and Israel.

Elsewhere, close to the Umm Al Thuoob Industrial Area, an Indian national received wounds when debris descended after aerial defenses engaged incoming objects.

Vigilance and Security Measures

This incident underlined the Emirates’ serious attitude toward security and stability. High alert shall be maintained in defense systems considering the emirates’ serious attitude toward security and stability.
