The Downtown Umm Al Quwain coastal project, which endeavors to cover approximately 25 million square feet and calls for a 12 km of uninterrupted shoreline, including the seven kilometers of calm natural beaches and parks, is a partnership scheme between the Government of Umm Al Quwain and Sobha Realty. Having been conceived under the tagline “Coastal City Within a City”, the project endeavors to marry nature, luxury, and modern urban living.

Each district will provide its residents and visitors with specific, distinct experiences from leisure and recreation to business and hospitality. This development will also consist of a deep commercial center, four five-star hotels, resort accommodations, and shopping and lifestyle destinations.

Modern Living and Economic Growth

The Downtown Umm Al Quwain coastal project is more than a housing development; it will operate as a self-sufficient community, incorporating residential, commercial, and public amenities. It will host the UAQ Trade Centre Free Zone, a business hub with an area of 15 million square feet, remunerated under its independent legal regime. The zone aims to lure international businesses that integrate innovation and contribute to the economic growth of the area.

The project’s design meets sustainability and livability objectives. Downtown Umm Al Quwain coastal development will allocate open and green spaces, landscaped gardens, and natural corridors on 50 percent of the land. It cites water-sensitive landscaping and marine conservation philosophy in a golden patch, guaranteeing that this development furthers and respects the natural environment.
