Real estate emulation is in progress, beginning with the Downtown Umm Al Quwain Coastal Project aimed at restoring the coastline of the emirate and accommodating about 150,000 residents. The landmark project launched by His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Crown Prince of Umm Al-Quwain, marks the on-set of new horizons to redefine urbanism and economic development in the emirate..

A Visionary Coastal City

The Downtown Umm Al Quwain coastal project, which endeavors to cover approximately 25 million square feet and calls for a 12 km of uninterrupted shoreline, including the seven kilometers of calm natural beaches and parks, is a partnership scheme between the Government of Umm Al Quwain and Sobha Realty. Having been conceived under the tagline “Coastal City Within a City”, the project endeavors to marry nature, luxury, and modern urban living.

Located within the coastal project of Downtown Umm Al Quwain Coastal Project is a diversified master plan, which comprises three prime districts: North Beach, Trade Centers, and South Beach. Each district will provide its residents and visitors with specific, distinct experiences from leisure and recreation to business and hospitality. This development will also consist of a deep commercial center, four five-star hotels, resort accommodations, and shopping and lifestyle destinations.

Modern Living and Economic Growth

The Downtown Umm Al Quwain coastal project is more than a housing development; it will operate as a self-sufficient community, incorporating residential, commercial, and public amenities. It will host the UAQ Trade Centre Free Zone, a business hub with an area of 15 million square feet, remunerated under its independent legal regime. The zone aims to lure international businesses that integrate innovation and contribute to the economic growth of the area. 

The project’s design meets sustainability and livability objectives. Downtown Umm Al Quwain coastal development will allocate open and green spaces, landscaped gardens, and natural corridors on 50 percent of the land. It cites water-sensitive landscaping and marine conservation philosophy in a golden patch, guaranteeing that this development furthers and respects the natural environment.

The planning aspect starts from the top in site planning. One such being spearheaded is that for the planning of the Downtown Umm Al Quwain coastal project, meant for providing interactive residential, commercial, and leisure living that would enrich the lives of the residents with peace. The project is a true complement to the “Live, Work, and Play” concepts that define it as an ideal habitat for family, business, and investor residences. 

A New Landmark for Umm Al Quwain

With the launch of this project, it becomes clear that Downtown Umm Alquwain is set to change the fate of the emirate, thus setting the standards for coastal living in the UAE on fronts such as luxury, sustainability, and modernism. His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla emphasized the importance of strategic investment in the Downtown UMM AL QUWAIN coastal project in the development of business opportunities as well as in promoting economic development. According to PNC Menon, founder of the Sobha Group, the project is essentially a vision fulfilled; he noted that the principles guiding the project are innovation, sustainability, and tranquil luxury.

To a large extent, the development of the entire planning starts from the First Phase of the Downtown-Umm-Al-Quwain coastal project, comprising landmark residential, commercial, and hospitality communities. This will then continue further in development and improvement toward a real shade-world-class enclave for potential residents and tourists that is slowly coming up, whereby everything is set for living, uplifted lifestyles. 

All that the Downtown Umm-Quwain coastal project embodies is evidence of, testimonies, and the thorough translation of the vision, heritage, and commitment of the emirate towards sustainable development on the urban front.
