Dubai Nightlife in Focus
Dubai, 29th August 2026: If there was one place where you could feel the life buzzing in the city, it would have to be the thriving night life here. And that in itself defies every naysayer who has nasty things to say about Dubai not being what it used it to be before the US-Iran conflict.

I sat down at Amelia, the luxurious Japanese-Peruvian fusion watering hole at Address Sky View in Downtown Dubai. Moreover, the Dubai nightlife scene reaffirmed that the city still knows how to party.
Walking in a little before 9pm, I saw a few tables with guests. I wondered if this thin crowd was the new reality. On the ground floor, the music was loud. The vibe was building, and our orders started arriving promptly.
All that’s veg
Since I am a vegetarian, we were served almost everything on their menu. They don’t have a lot, but what they do have is certainly worth trying.
The coolers were up first, and I cannot gush enough about the huge ice block inside the glass of Spicy Paloma, which had a potent mix of Jimador Blanco, Agave, Fresh Lime, Pink Grapefruit and Jalapenos — more refreshing than intoxicating.
What followed were the starters that included an immersive green salad, edamame peppered with just the right condiments, vegetarian sushi and hot truffle baby potatoes.

For the mains, we had the truffle pizza and risotto, and all of it honestly felt like a whole lot of truffle. But I personally love it, so can’t complain.
Not much of a dessert person, I didn’t mind the vanilla ice cream, but the choco lava muffin with a pistachio burst was all too indulgent. Nothing wrong with it, I am just not into those kinds of things. My colleague, on the other hand, devoured it like it’s the last available piece on earth.
At the end, we sealed the deal with a big glass of the classic café latte. Since they do not do takeaway, I had to have as much as I could at the table itself before I left.
Picture Perfect
But beyond the food and the drinks, what really stayed with me about Amelia is just how picture-perfect it is.
The ambience and the decor are so Instagrammable that the picture you see below was actually clicked outside the toilet. The rest of the images tell you just how vibrant this dimly lit night-out joint is in the heart of Dubai, especially this gem-bulb-studded stairway and the grungy helicopter fan striking out above the bar.

As Team Times of Dubai was leaving with our bellies and phone cameras full, we couldn’t help but notice that almost every table had been filled, and yet there was a steady stream of visitors pouring in.
And why not? At just five years old, this international lounge is big on being very cosy, very intimate and a very cool addition to the city’s already brimming nightlife options.

With its variety-led cuisine, award-winning mixology and electrifying Afro-melodic house beats in a striking, steampunk-inspired atmosphere, Amelia Dubai is a Downtown Dubai stop you must check out once.
Pro tip: Make sure you DO NOT miss the right turn on the service lane just before you go uphill to Address Sky View!
