Dubai festival moves to March with a game-changing upgrade

Dubai’s biggest music festival just shifted its dates and expanded its ambitions. It could become the most talked-about weekend of UNTOLD Dubai 2027.

Dubai has a gift for making things bigger the second time around. UNTOLD Dubai 2027 builds on the jump from Expo City in 2024 to Dubai Parks and Resorts in 2025. The festival grew to over 190,000 people in a weekend with more than 100 artists across six stages. The numbers alone tell a story of a festival finding its footing fast. The third edition is not just bigger. It is earlier, more deliberate and carrying a weight of expectation that the organisers have clearly decided to embrace rather than manage down.

UNTOLD Dubai 2027 will take place from March 19th to 21st at Dubai Parks and Resorts. This is a shift from the previously announced November dates, driven by ambition rather than circumstance. More time to build the lineup. More space to develop the stage productions. More opportunity to create what Bogdan Buta, CEO of UNTOLD Universe, described as raising the standard of large-scale entertainment.

“From the beginning, our ambition with UNTOLD Dubai has been to create much more than a festival,” Buta said. “Securing the next edition to March 2027 gives us the opportunity to build the strong world-class lineup, develop the epic show productions and create the spectacular experience our fans expect from UNTOLD, Dubai’s first Mega-Festival.”

What to Expect in 2027

Full artist announcements are still to come, which is half the fun at this stage. What organisers have confirmed is the broad shape of the experience new zones, expanded entertainment, immersive attractions and a lineup drawn from across genres. The 2025 edition set a particular kind of template: nostalgic pop sitting next to the world’s most celebrated DJs, top-tier rap and live rock sharing a weekend under the Dubai sky, the theme park backdrop giving the whole thing an energy that a dedicated festival site can struggle to replicate.

March timing also solves a problem that November sometimes does not. Dubai’s March weather sits in a comfortable range that makes outdoor festivals genuinely pleasant rather than something to be endured between air-conditioned tents. Long evenings, no summer heat, the end of the cooler season approaching but not yet arrived. For an event whose atmosphere depends as much on the outdoor experience as it does on what happens on stage, that is not a trivial consideration.

Tickets already purchased for the previous November dates remain valid for the new March 2027 dates without any action required from holders. Early bird weekend passes start from Dh350. VIP passes open at Dh900. Both are available at untold.ae.

UNTOLD’s Trajectory in a City That Rewards Ambition

It is worth stepping back to appreciate how quickly UNTOLD Dubai has established itself. The festival launched in 2024 at Expo City with solid but measured expectations. By its second edition it had pulled 190,000 people through the gates of Dubai Parks and Resorts, a number that places it firmly among the largest single music events in the region’s recent history.

That trajectory matters because Dubai’s events calendar has never been more competitive. The Dubai Fitness Challenge runs through October and November. Global Village opens for its 31st season this month. The Emirates Dubai 7s rugby returns. The MICHELIN Guide just unveiled its biggest Dubai selection yet. IIFA 2027 is confirmed for Abu Dhabi in January. The Concordia Horizon Summit arrives in May. The 1 Billion Followers Summit lands in January. The city is not short of reasons to show up.

Against that backdrop, UNTOLD Dubai has carved out something specific, a music-first, production-heavy, multi-genre festival experience that the region did not really have in that form before 2024. March 2027 gives it the space to be the first major festival of the year rather than one of several competing for attention in the same autumn window.

For the 190,000 people who attended in 2025, and for everyone who missed it and vowed not to make the same mistake twice, the countdown just got a new end date.
