World’s Safest Country: UAE Dominates Globally, Here’s What Sets It Apart

July 22, 2025 | Dubai, UAE.The UAE is crowned as the World’s Safest Country globally yet again. Abu Dhabi, the capital of the, is considered the safest city worldwide according to the latest Safe Cities Index (SCI) report. Abu Dhabi received a score of 83.89 out of a possible 100, which is higher than major cities such as Singapore, Zurich, and Tokyo and puts it ahead of the curve for a major city. The other cities of UAE are also marked in the top 20 list of the index this making it the World’s Safest Country .

Abu Dhabi Tops The Chart

As stated in the Numbeo report to the world in 2025, Abu Dhabi is classified as a very safe city. The Low crime index score is  (11.6), so minimal crime is noted. Abu Dhabi scored high on the index with an 88.4, which reflects good numbers of compliance according to the perceptions of the safety of a city and the reactions of the public. This means that with more perceived safety, there is a limited number of crime rates, which should allow the UAE to be called one of the World’s safest Country .

Several reasons can be attributed to Abu Dhabi’s superlative safety record. In the first place, the city has a very low crime rate, benefiting from sustainable laws, aides, and also very rapidly responding authorities. Abu Dhabi has a nationwide problem that includes sensors and cameras that see everythıng.

World’s Safest Country

These devices are considered to be the best and strongest types of surveillance, and they also help prevent crimes. Abu Dhabi has carefully planned the location of infrastructure, whether it is physical infrastructure such as public transportation, roads, or any kind of utility.

Paramount to this, Community engagement programs in Abu Dhabi also contribute to safety and security, as residents engage with authorities to develop responses to prevent crime and other emergencies.

One can certainly look at investment in advanced surveillance measures and AI-enhanced services to improve safety and security. Additionally, educating both residents and visitors about safety and security is the best practice. It will help prevent crimes and emergencies. Lastly, cities can learn from successes and even setbacks, and share best practices to improve safety and security for everyone. Hence. making UAE the World’s Safest Country .

The Four Key Pillars 

The SCI is published by the Economist Impact, which uses four key pillars to evaluate urban safety and security. Hence, making the UAE the World’s Safest Country .

1. Digital Security: This helps in protecting against cyber threats and data breaches and safeguards organisations that use cyberspace.

2. Health Security: This helps in ensuring that quality health care is available now and in the future, protecting against health crises, and ensuring quick medical response.Quick and credible emergency care.

3. Infrastructure Security: This helps in protecting critical infrastructure and public services. Also against the physical and cyber threats to infrastructure.

4. Personal Security: Helps in protecting from crime/violence and thus providing a safe environment for residents and visitors. 

Safety In Action

Abu Dhabi’s safety programs include multi-challenge initiatives that provide a cross-sectional approach to the city. The city is employing technology to make it safer and more efficient through smart traffic management and smart policing. Community programs that include neighborhood watch programs and safety awareness campaigns are engaging residents and the community in designing and implementing safety.

World’s Safest Country

The city boasts a strong emergency response system and has emergency services available 24/7. Thus, emergency Intelligence in Emergency Services will work toward a 4a reaction to a reported emergency. Furthermore, the perk of being the World’s Safest Country. Also. Abu Dhabi, is attracting business, investment, and talent, thus aiding in economic growth and development. 

Additionally, security initiatives bring the citizenry and authorities together. This clearly emphasizes creating a better sense of community and social unity. Not only this the continued commitment to safety will make Abu Dhabi an inviting destination for all residents, businesses and tourists alike and keep making the UAE the World’s Safest Country .
