Pakistan Clinches Victory Over UAE in Sharjah Tri-Series

Sharjah, August 31, 2025: Pakistan won a strong victory against the United Arab Emirates in the second match of the Sharjah Tri-Series. In the fixture played at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Pakistan scored 207 runs and then successfully defended the total against a spirited fightback from the UAE. The victory registered Pakistan’s second consecutive win in the competitive Sharjah Tri-Series. The terrible rivalry between Pakistan and the UAE created many lead moments, especially due to the star players of both teams. 

Pakistan Takes Early Control with Batting Prowess

Pakistan maintained its pace in the Sharjah Tri-Series with a win in the toss and to bat first, to bat first. Pakistan’s momentum was led by Saim Ayub, who scored 69 runs.His positive intent served to consolidate the platform that Pakistan had established early in the innings. Pakistan’s middle order maintained the momentum with Hasan Nawaz’s 56 runs, adding the crucial middle innings firepower. The Pakistan batsmen showed great confidence and authority in reaching 207 overs for 207 runs.

The UAE bowlers worked hard, Saghir Khan took three wickets, but he scored several runs. Pakistani batsmen could not withstand the bowling attack of the home team, who displayed a good mixture of attacking shots and stable batting. Despite resting some major speed bowlers, Pakistan was a challenging total in the Sharjah Tri-Series match against the UAE.

UAE’s Fightback Fails to Overcome Target

In response, the UAE opened its innings with a quick start. The team captain, Muhammad Wasim, gave him an initial momentum by scoring 33 runs. However, many UAE batsmen failed to contribute significantly to the middle overs. Asif Khan stood out with a brilliant 77 runs, inspiring his side to work hard to chase.

Although Asif Khan’s innings was impressive, the support of other batsmen was limited. Pakistan bowlers took three wickets under the leadership of Hasan Ali, tightening the bowling attack in important moments. The UAE managed to score 176 runs before being reduced by 31 runs. The Sharjah Tri-series match ended with Pakistan claiming a confident victory.

Pakistan bowlers showed flexibility despite the missing star Pacers, Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf. Hasan Ali was the most effective bowler, taking three wickets for 47 runs. Mohammad Nawaz also contributed with two wickets.UAE bowlers, including Sagir Khan and Junaid Siddiq, took wickets, but were unable to slow down Pakistan’s scoring

Sharjah Tri-Series remains an exciting tournament for cricket fans. Pak vs UAE match performed high-quality cricket with exciting batting and bowling performances. Pakistan now leads the series with a direct win, while the UAE will aim to bounce back in its next matches. The Tri-series also features Afghanistan, which will soon face the UAE at the same place.

Pakistan’s youth squad is showing strong potential, while major personal efforts like the UAE’s fighting and Asif Khan’s innings highlight their development.
