The UAE has announced that its recruitment drive was in full progress after a new consular service provider won a major contract to take care of passport and visa missions concerning Indian missions.

Alhind Tours and Travels Pvt Ltd, located in India, will employ over 300 people at various locations in the UAE. Walk-in interviews will occur on May 3 in Sharjah.

Walk-in interviews announced

The company says that the recruitment drive would be held in a walk-in interview at Alhind tower in Al Khan, Sharjah, between 9 am 1.30 pm.

Any job seeker who has a valid UAE residence visa has the right to apply, and there is also an encouragement of fresh graduates to join the programme.

It has been recommended that the candidates always carry the updated CVs with them and the copies of their passports, residence visas and educational certificates.

Jobs are offered at various levels

The recruitment initiative covers numerous types of jobs, such as simple jobs and top management.

Available roles include:

  • Submission officers
  •  Counter staff
  • Operations executives
  • Operations managers
  •  Branch heads and senior managers

Though new graduates may be taken in the low-level jobs, experience in consular or visa-related jobs is desirable for high-level jobs.

16 destinations in the UAE

The business will have over 16 service centres in the seven emirates, and thus, the successful applicants will be posted at various locations depending on the operational requirements.

The high level of recruiting is indicative of the plans to launch services nationwide.

New contract of consular services

The recruitment is on the heels of the announcement of Alhind Tours and Travels’ win of an agreement to deliver passport and visa, and other consular services to Indian missions in the UAE and Sri Lanka.

The company received the contract on the basis of the lowest firm bid in terms of the financial proposal among the shortlisted firms.

Under the contract, services will entail:

  • Passport and visa operations.
  • OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) services.
  • Police clearance certificate
  • The certificate attestation and other services.
Consular and visa services to launch nationwide by july

The services will start in July

The company is projected to start its operations as early as July 1, a great step towards a new level of offering consular services to the Indian community in the UAE.

The officials said that the firm will implement a common fee system where it will charge a nominal fee, which is more than embassy fees, so that services will not be very expensive.

Booster to employment applicants

The recruitment initiative is welcome to the employment seekers in the UAE, especially fresh graduates and individuals who wish to join administrative and service jobs.

Having hundreds of vacancies in several emirates, the project is likely to receive a high number of applications.
