Abu Dhabi, June 24, 2025- A stressful calm has settled in the Middle East after the Iran-Israel ceasefire announcement. After the Iran-Israel ceasefire, missile attacks were declared by US President Donald Trump, and increasing apprehensions. Despite the Iran-Israel ceasefire, several flights in the United Arab Emirates and nearby countries have been suspended or re-suspended.

President Trump urged both countries to honor the Iran-Israel ceasefire. He said, “The ceasefire is now effective. Please do not violate it.”

The Iran-Israel ceasefire came after a deep fight of twelve days. Many people hoped that the Iran-Israel ceasefire would quickly bring back normal life. But the airlines are still facing problems. The Iran and Israel ceasefire has not yet restored full confidence. Hundreds of flights and thousands of passengers are affected.

Airlines Struggle After Iran-Israel Ceasefire

Hard work has been done across the Gulf. The Iran-Israel ceasefire may have stopped the fight, but its effects have lost their effects. Many airlines are still not sure about security. They are waiting for clear signs of an Iran and Israel ceasefire. Etihad Airways, located in Abu Dhabi, canceled flights to Doha, Kuwait, Muscat and Riyadh. These were canceled after Iran attacked American bases in Qatar. Even after the announcement of Iran-Israel’s ceasefire, flights were still stopped on 24 June. Etihad said that it will fly only where it is safe.

Dubai’s large airline Emirates said some flights were re -run. No flight was diverted, but it is expected to be delayed. Emirates is using the flight path away from the struggle areas. The airline is working hard to keep the schedule on track. Flidubai also reported the cancellations and variations. Some delays are still expected as the airline avoids restricted airspace. Air Arab, another UAE airline, warned of potential disruption. It asked the passengers to investigate the online flight status. Vij Air Abu Dhabi asked the passengers to expect a delay. It is informing people about direct changes. Passengers booking through a third party should contact them for updates.

Qatar Airways stopped flights for some time due to the aircraft shutdown. After the Iran-Israel ceasefire, Qatar’s airspace reopened. But the airline warned of a big delay. Pakistan’s PIA and India’s Air India Express and Air India also stopped flights in the region. Air India said it stopped all operations to East, Europe, and North America. IndiGo is slowly starting flights as the aircraft opens again.

Passengers Face Uncertainty as Iran-Israel Ceasefire Takes Hold

Passengers at UAE airports are confused and worried. The Iran-Israel ceasefire has not given immediate relief. Many updates are checking airline websites. Airlines are asking passengers to stay in search of news. Some ribboning options are offered. Iran-Israel ceasefire welcomed by world leaders. They hope that it will eliminate the danger. But the situation is still critical. Both Iran and Israel have said that if the Iran-Israel ceasefire is broken, they will answer. The United Nations Security Council held an emergency meeting. The council is divided on how to move forward.

In Israel, people were told that they could leave the missile shelters. There has been no new attack since Iran-Israel ceasefire. In Tehran, things are calm but stressful. People are trying to see if Iran and Israel have a ceasefire or not. The Iran-Israel peace play is a big step towards peace. But airlines and passengers require more time. They need to ensure that the sky is safe. For now, travel is being planned.
