Graduating soon? Still studying? Or just curious about working in property?
Thursday, 29 October 2026, is the day to keep free. Dubai Land Department (DLD) is organizing the fourth Real Estate Day for Emirati employment at Address Sky View Hotel in Downtown Dubai. Instead of emailing a CV and waiting weeks for a reply, you can talk to the people who do the hiring, face to face.
Who Is Running It?
DLD is in charge, but it has company. The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, Nafis (the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council) and the Emirati Human Resources Development Council in Dubai are partners, and real estate firms will be on site too. That’s useful for Emirati employment. People who shape the policy and people who actually hire are in the same building, which isn’t what you get at most job fairs.
What Will You Do There?
Talk, mainly. Walk up to a company, ask what the job is like on a normal Tuesday, what they look for, and how someone gets promoted. Simple questions, but they’re hard to get answered through a job portal. And if you think property means selling apartments, think again. DLD has advertised roles in data science, accounting, auditing, law, and engineering at previous career events. Emirati employment in this sector covers a lot more ground than most people assume.
Is It Getting Bigger?
It is. In 2024, 53 firms turned up with over 300 vacancies. By the third edition, there were more than 80 companies and over 400 direct opportunities. That’s about 50% more firms, and since businesses only keep showing up when it pays off, it says something about how they see Emirati employment.
Where Does the Empowerment Program Fit In?
The day grows out of the Real Estate Empowerment Programme, which DLD started in 2023. Think of it as support from start to finish: first a conversation about careers, then job matching, practical training, and help after the person is hired. From 2023 to 2026, more than 2,100 jobs were created for UAE nationals through it, with government bodies and private companies on board. That’s a track record for Emirati employment, and the fourth Real Estate Day carries it forward.

Why Does It Matter?
Property is a heavy hitter in Dubai’s economy. The Dubai Media Office says real estate made up 11.2 percent of the emirate’s GDP in the first quarter of 2026, and the sector grew 3.1 percent year on year. A market of that size can’t run itself.
DLD links this work to the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and the Dubai Real Estate Sector Strategy 2033, both of which treat people and competitiveness as central to growth. In other words, Emirati employment is built into the plan.
