This visa provides several benefits, including stability, safety and tax -friendly environment. With recent changes, this process has become even more accessible to Indian citizens.

What is the UAE Golden Visa for Indians?

UAE Golden Visa for Indians is a long-term residence permit that allows Indian citizens and their families to stay, work, and study in the UAE without the need for local sponsors. The visa is valid for 10 years and can be renewed. Traditionally, the main route for Indians to get a Golden visa was through real estate or investment in business. An investment of at least 2 million (about) 4.66 crore) was required for a 10-year visa. This investment can occur in one or more properties, and both mortgaged and off-plan properties are accepted.

However, the UAE government has now introduced a new enrollment-based golden visa program. This new route allows Indians to purchase property or obtain a UAE Golden Visa without conducting a trade license. This provides a lifetime residence for a certain fee, making it easier for Indians who do not want to make large financial investments.

Investment and Nomination Routes Explained

There are now two main ways for Indians to secure the UAE Golden Visa:

  • Real Estate Investment Route:
    Indians can invest at least 2 million in UAE assets to qualify for a 10-year golden visa. The investor should be present in the United Arab Emirates during the application process. Family members, including spouses, children, and sometimes parents, can be sponsored under this visa.
  • Nomination-Based Route:
    The new enrollment-based system allows Indians to obtain a UAE Golden Visa for Indians for Lifetime Residency without the need for property procurement or a business license. This route is open to professionals, entrepreneurs, and individuals with excellent talent or achievements. The process involves an enrollment by UAE officers or approved organizations, followed by an application review. This route removes the financial burden of large investments and is particularly helpful for skilled professionals and business leaders.
  • Professional Excellence:
    More than 15 years of experience, teachers with scientists, digital creators, and nurses are now eligible for the UAE Golden Visa. This new rule recognizes their long-term contribution and skills. They can apply for Lifetime Residency without the need to invest in property or keep a trade license. It makes it easier for experienced professionals to stay and work in the United Arab Emirates and rewards their dedication and expertise.
  • Yacht Ownership:
    Owners and leaders of luxury boats in the maritime industry can also apply for the UAE Golden Visa for Indians. The owner of at least 40 meters long yats, as well as CEOs and Prominent Officers in the sailing area, are eligible. The path is designed to attract highly qualified individuals and increase the status of the UAE as a global sailing hub. Family members of the boat owners can also be included in the visa.
